  • (Meri Baghdasaryan): Opportunities and updates SEEDIG

1. Call for SEEDIG Youth School 2020: If you are a university student (undergraduate or master) originally from, or residing in a country in South Eastern Europe and neighboring area, interested in privacy, freedom of speech, other internet governance related issues and want to learn more, apply for the Youth School by 30 April 2020. More information here.
2. Call for SEEDIG Internship program 2020. SEEDIG is looking for highly motivated interns to help with the preparations for SEEDIG annual meeting, as well as with other SEEDIG activities. Of particular interest are candidates who have skills and experience in WordPress and/or digital design (web design, graphic design, video production etc.). The deadline for applications is 25 April 2020. More information is here.

  • Participate in AFRINIC’s next webinar in the context of the International Girls in ICT Day 2020

In the context of the International Girls in ICT Day 2020, AFRINIC in partnership with the World Wide Web Foundation is organising an online dialogue to discuss the empowerment of women in the tech world. The theme of the meeting is: Expand Horizons for African Women: Change attitudes in tech leadership.

This webinar is scheduled for Thursday 23 April 2020 from 14:00 to 15:00 (GMT). The main speaker will be Ms Nnenna Nwakanma, the Chief Web Advocate, World Wide Web Foundation. M. Arthur Carindal Head of Stakeholder Engagement, AFRINIC and M. Brice ABBA Community Development Manager, AFRINIC will also intervene during this event.
